Intention to enrol for 2015

We have created a Google form to help with obtaining information about prospective enrolments for 2015. If you are the parent of a child (or children) who may be attending Ormiston Primary School in 2015 (February to December) we would appreciate if you could complete this form. Once the enrolment zone has been confirmed by the Ministry of Education, we will contact every family that has completed this form.

The form can be located under the ‘Enrolments’ tab on the homepage of our website. Please contact us if you have any difficulties with completion of the form.

Leader of Learning appointed

The establishment board for Ormiston Primary School is delighted to announce the appointment of Heath McNeil as the school’s Leader of Learning  (more commonly referred to as the principal).

Heath is a highly experienced school leader with senior management positions over the last ten years including five as principal at Ramarama School south of Auckland.

Heath takes up his position from Monday 9th June 2014 and the board is looking forward to working with him towards the opening of the school in February 2015.  He will be based over the next six months at Ormiston Senior College and can be contacted via his email address [email protected] or at our post office box – details below.

A brief bio of Heath McNeil is available here.

Draft enrolment zone published

The Ministry of Education has now provided a draft map and description of an enrolment zone for Ormiston Primary School – see the details under the Enrolments tab.

The draft zone, which is still subject to public consultation, has been based on the Ministry’s discussions with neighbouring school boards of trustees, on its evaluation of the developments taking place in the Flat Bush area and on its own considerations for making the best use of the schooling network.

The Ormiston Primary School Board of Trustees has arranged for two public consultation meetings to take place in May. There will be an afternoon meeting on Tuesday 20th May at 2:00pm at the Flat Bush Hall (corner of Flatbush School Road and Murphys Road) and an evening meeting on Thursday 22nd May at 7:00pm at the same venue.  All are welcome.
